April 1, 2012 - ShootingStar team inks a new deal with Travel Channel International. Departures will be expanding to 120 countries in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Asia Pacific and 20 language versions. TCI is taking over the franchise from previous International broadcaster National Geographic Adventure Channel (where the series has aired successfully in 50 countries). March 29, 2012 - Departures expands to new media, languages and territories including German language versions within Germany, Luxenbourg, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein and Aldo Abridge with RTL Living, and as well as Cantonese in Hong Kong with TVB, Danish sub-titles in Denmark HD with DR2, as well as full episodes available on AirCanada flights international.
